China Equity funds invest principally in Chinese companies listed on the stock exchanges in China and Hong Kong, and companies that derive significant revenues from or have substantial business ties with the China market, but excluding funds that principally invest in onshore, RMB-denominated Chinese companies listed on Shanghai or Shenzhen stock exchanges. These funds invest at least 75% of total assets in equities, and at least 75% of equity assets in Chinese or China-related companies defined as above. The funds usually invest less than 10% of total assets in Taiwanese equities.

Morris Research Analyst 2019 - Morris is a member of the Global Emerging Markets and Asia Pacific Equities team and is responsible for investment analysis of China/Hong Kong equities. Morris joined UBS Global Asset Management in May 2015. Prior to this, he was a consulting director at BDA China, providing investment advisory services to top tier hedge funds and private equity funds for their investments in China. Morris worked at BDA for 9 years and specialized in the Consumer and TMT sectors.

Bin Portfolio Manager 2015 - Bin Shi is a member of the Global Emerging Market and Asia Pacific Equities team, located in Hong Kong. He is Country Analyst and Portfolio Manager for China with a focus on Chinese stocks listed on both the overseas and domestic Chinese stock exchanges. Prior to joining UBS Asset Management, Bin spent three years as Head of Int’l Business, portfolio manager and analyst with Boshi Fund Management Co., one of the largest domestic mutual fund companies in China. Prior to that, he worked in the US for eight years as portfolio manager and analyst for several US mutual fund firms. Bin joined UBS in January 2006 and has managed the Greater China Fund since April 2006.

Derrick 2018 2018 Derrick Sun is a member of the Global Emerging Markets and Asian Pacific Equities team and is responsible for investment analysis of China/Hong Kong Equities. Derrick joined UBS Asset Management in July 2013. Prior to this, he was head of research for healthcare and small & mid-cap with Bank of China International (BOCI) and BNP Paribas. Previous industry experience includes 5 years managing a bio-pharmaceutical company’s Shanghai subsidiary and 5 years in Deloitte Consulting (US) where he provided business consulting services to Fortune 500 healthcare and consumer companies.
Projit 2010 2018 Projit Chatterjee is a Senior Equity Specialist within the Global Emerging Markets and Asia Pacific Equities team at UBS Asset Management, based in Singapore. He is also a member of the Global Emerging Markets Strategy Committee and co-manager of the GEM High Dividend funds. Projit has primary responsibility for overall product positioning and development of Emerging Markets and Asian Equity strategies, as well as marketing and communication of these strategies to existing and prospective clients globally. Projit joined UBS in 1997 as a Corporate Finance Analyst with UBS Investment Bank in Mumbai, India. In 1999, he moved to UBS Asset Management in Zurich to work in Strategic Projects, International Fund Marketing. In Zurich, Projit held various roles in the areas of strategic business development, business management and investment solutions. He also led an acquisition project in the Indian market. Before joining UBS, Projit worked as a money market and foreign exchange dealer in the treasury of MashreqBank, a UAE bank in Mumbai.
