I think there is a possibility of rate hike in both India and USA. The movement in the longer end of the yield curve is an indication to the same. Having said that I believe the markets have already factored in the same expectation. My point of view is that 10yr yield would be range bound between 7.5-7.75%. Lets hope for the best.

Looks like near term negatives are priced in unless Oi lgives shock above 80$. We may see bond retreat back to 7.85%-7.75% zone in coming week if RBI announces one more OMO before June 5th Policy

1. Govt failed to maintain target fiscal deficit. When govt borrows more money, interest rate rises. 2. Increase in expected inflation. 3. Yields rising globally as well because central banks in the developed economies are shrinking their balance sheet.
