Top Mega-Cap Stocks in Focus: Infosys, Wipro, HCL Tech, PowerGrid & More

Investing.com -- PowerGrid Corporation (NS:PGRD), Life Insurance Corporation (NS:LIFI) of India: The insurance behemoth has offloaded over 2% of its holding in the Maharatna PSU from May 18-Oct 11, 2022. LIC has reduced its stake in the PSU from 5.3% to 3.3%, selling shares at an average price of Rs 220.4 apiece in 5 months, totalling Rs 3,079.43 crore.

Infosys (NS:INFY): The IT heavyweight will release it's Sept ending earnings results on Thursday.

HCL Tech (NS:HCLT): The IT major’s net profit climbed 7.1% YoY to Rs 3,489 crore and consolidated revenue surged 19.5% YoY and 5.2% QoQ to Rs 24,686 crore in Q2 FY23, both exceeding analysts’ estimates. Its board approved an interim dividend of Rs 10/share to the shareholders, with the record date as Oct 20 and the payment date as Nov 2.

ITC (NS:ITC): Subsidiary ITC Infotech India has set up a wholly owned subsidiary in Brazil, called ITC Infotech Do Brasil LTDA on Oct 10, and has received a registration certificate for incorporating the same.

Wipro (NS:WIPR): The company’s PAT dropped 9.3% YoY to Rs 2,659 crore and climbed 3.7% sequentially, while its consolidated revenue surged 14.6% YoY to Rs 22,540 crore in Q2. The attrition rate slipped marginally to 23% from 23.3% in the previous quarter. 

NTPC (NS:NTPC): The country’s largest energy conglomerate has signed an MoU with Siemens (NS:SIEM) for demonstrating the feasibility of hydrogen co-firing blended with natural gas at gas turbines installed in NTPC Faridabad gas power plant.
