Investing.com -- Zee Entertainment (NS: ZEE ) is trading 22% up in today's trade. Yesterday, Zee Entertainment and Sony Pictures Network signed a merger deal, which is great news for Zee. This is because before the merger, Zee Entertainment had been struggling financially and its two largest shareholders expressed non-confidence with the management, which includes its CEO and MD -- Punit Goenka. Interestingly, after the merger, Punit Goenka will be the CEO and MD of the new entity.

Nucleus Software Exports Ltd (NS: NSEL ), on the other hand, is trading 10% up today as it announced that its board will meet on September 24th to consider a proposal for share buyback.

Tata Motors Ltd (NS: TAMO ) share prices are also up by more than 2% after the automaker announced that it would hike the prices of its commercial vehicles by around 2%, effective from October 1st. The company cited the reasons for this hike as the increase in commodity prices of products like precious metals and steel. Incidentally, Maruti Suzuki (NS: MRTI ) also announced the hike in the prices of its vehicles a few days back.
