Telecom stock jumps 3% after its net profit increases by 193% YoY

The shares of this small cap stock, engaged in providing solutions to telecom network operators, gained attention after the company announced a 193 percent increase in net profits in Q3 FY25.

Price Action

With a market capitalization of Rs 1,234.45 crore, SAR Televenture Ltd (NSE:SARR) gained 3.5 percent in Friday’s trading session and made an intraday high of Rs 276 per share compared to its previous closing price of Rs 266.8 per share.

The shares reiterated from the day’s high and were trading at Rs 254 which is 4.8 percent lower than the previous closing price.

What Happened

The shares of Sar Televenture Ltd fell after the company reported its Q3FY24-25 results. Its total revenue from operations increased by 128 percent from Rs 36.6 crore to Rs 83.5 crore in Q3FY25. On a quarter-on-quarter basis, the revenue rose by 23 percent from Rs 67.7 crore.

This was accompanied by a 193 percent percent year on year increase in net profits from Rs 4.4 crore to Rs 12.9 crore in Q3FY25. On a quarter-on-quarter basis, the net profits grew by 9 percent from Rs 11.8 crore.

Further, the company’s EPS increased by 19 percent year on year from Rs 2.92 to Rs 3.46. On a quarterly basis however, the EPS fell by 20 percent from Rs 4.31.

Company Overview

Sar Televenture Ltd is engaged in the business of providing solutions for telecom network operators, including laying fiber cables. As a telecommunications infrastructure provider, the company plays a key role in setting up and commissioning telecom towers throughout India.

Recognized as an Infrastructure Provider Category I (IP-I) by the Department of Telecommunications (DoT), the company is authorized to lease various types of build sites, such as ground-based towers (GBT), rooftop towers (RTT), pole sites, and outdoor small cells (ODSC). It also manages assets like dark fiber, duct space, right of way, and towers, which are available for lease, rent, or sale to telecom service providers.

In addition, the company provides support services that include project management for duct and optical fiber cable installation, construction of basic transmission and telecom utilities, development of optical fiber networks, and dark fiber leasing. Furthermore, it takes care of the maintenance of ducts and optical fibers, offering comprehensive turnkey services for optical fiber projects to telecom network operators, broadband service providers, and internet service providers.
