Tata Stock Surges 10% To Lead Nifty 500 Gainers

Benzinga - On Wednesday, the top performers including Sobha (NS: SOBH ), Sterlite Technologies (NS: STTE ), and Epigral made significant strides, while Zee Entertainment Enterprises and Mangalore (NS: MRPL ) Refinery and Petrochemicals faced a downturn.

Real estate major Sobha Ltd. saw its stock price rise to ₹1480.0, a 6.72% increase from its last close at ₹1386.80.

Telecom infrastructure provider Sterlite Technologies also experienced a positive trading day, with its stock price increasing by 7.73% to ₹144.85, up from its previous close of ₹134.45.

Pharmaceutical company Epigral joined the top performers’ list, with its stock price rising by 7.89% to ₹1,221.90 from its last close of ₹1,132.45.

However, the star performer of the day was Tata Investment Corporation. The Tata Group company surged up over 10% and even hit a new 52-week high of ₹6,721 during the day.

However, not all stocks enjoyed a bullish run. Media and entertainment company Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd. saw its stock price tumble by 14.56% to ₹164.60, down from its last close of ₹192.65.

Refinery company Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Ltd. also faced a downturn, with its stock price falling by 7.69% to ₹252.20, down from its previous close of ₹273.20.

Meanwhile, Swan Energy Ltd ., GMR Infrastructure Ltd., and Motilal Oswal Financial Services Ltd. joined the list of losers, with their stock prices falling by 5.38%, 4.80%, and 4.37% respectively.
