Target shares are down 22.67% from the beginning of the year and are trading at $178.98 , down-from-52-week-high.

Target follows other major Consumer Discretionary sector earnings this month

Target's report follows an earnings beat by Amazon.com on Thursday, October 27, 2022, who reported EPS of $0.28 on revenue of $127.1B, compared to forecasts EPS of $0.22 on revenue of $127.76B.

Tesla had beat expectations on Wednesday, October 19, 2022 with third quarter EPS of $1.05 on revenue of $21.45B, compared to forecast for EPS of $1 on revenue of $21.98B.
