Stocks Under Focus on March 31: Axis Bank, Bharti Airtel, Nazara Tech & More

By Malvika Gurung -- AXIS Bank (NS: AXBK ): The American financial giant Citibank will sell its consumer banking business in India to the private lender Axis Bank in an all-cash deal for $1.6 billion, about Rs 12,235 crore.

Tata Steel (NS: TISC ): The steelmaker will acquire the assets of Stork and Mineral Industries in a cash deal of Rs 155 crore, excluding tax. Besides, the steel company has transferred all of its stake in Tata Steel SEZ to Tata Steel Utilities and Infrastructure Services.

Nazara Technologies (NS: NAZA ): Subsidiary Nazara Pte will invest $2.5 million in BITKRAFT Funds over the next three years, putting in $0.875 million upfront and the remaining amount will be deployed over time.

ONGC (NS: ONGC ): The oil and gas major’s two-day OFS will close on Thursday, and the Centre has decided to exercise the oversubscription option of additional 94.35 lakh shares of the company.

CEAT (NS: CEAT ): The tyre maker informed that the Competition Commission of India officials visited its office for a routine enquiry but did not find any wrongdoing in the company’s business conduct.

Bharti Airtel (NS: BRTI ), Reliance Industries (NS: RELI ), Vodafone Idea (NS: VODA ): As per TRAI data, Airtel was the only net gainer, adding 7.14 lakh users in Jan 2022, while Reliance Jio lost 93.22 lakh customers, while Idea lost 3.89 lakh users in the month.

HDFC (NS: HDFC ): Market watchdog Sebi discarded a show-cause notice issued to the mortgage lender, regarding the alleged violations of share transfer agent norms.
