Stocks in Focus on Jul 20: Vedanta, RIL, ONGC, Wipro, Sterlite Tech & More

By Malvika Gurung -- Vedanta (NS: VDAN ): The mining major’s board approved a second interim dividend of Rs 19.5/share in FY23, taking the total payout to Rs 7,250 crore.

Oil Marketing Companies: Only weeks after imposing a levy on gasoline exports and windfall taxes on fuel, the Centre cut taxes on oil producers and refiners, bringing in relief for companies like Reliance Industries (NS: RELI ) and ONGC (NS: ONGC ), including others.

Grasim Industries (NS: GRAS ): The company has forayed into the e-commerce space for the Building Materials segment, with an investment of about Rs 2,000 crore over the upcoming 5 years.

Sterlite Technologies (NS: STTE ): The company has won a multi-year optical fibre deal from a leading Indian telco in a nationwide project.

Telecom Companies: The top telecom players released their subscriber numbers and performance in May. Reliance Jio added the highest number of new subscribers at 3.11 million, Bharti Airtel (NS: BRTI ) added 1.02 mill, while Vodafone Idea (NS: VODA ) lost over 7.59 lakh subscribers in the month.

Companies including Wipro (NS: WIPR ), IndusInd Bank (NS: INBK ), CEAT (NS: CEAT ),  Havells India (NS: HVEL ), Tata Communications (NS: TATA ), Gland Pharma (NS: GLAD ), and Agro Tech Foods (NS: AGRO ), among others, will release their earnings results for the June ending quarter on Wednesday.
