Tata Group Stock Under Spotlight After Nuvama Warns of 43% Crash
Investing.com – United Kingdom equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the FTSE 350 Household Goods, FTSE 350 Oil & Gas and FTSE 350 Chemicals sectors led shares higher.
At the close in London, the Investing.com United Kingdom 100 gained 0.23% to hit a new 3-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com United Kingdom 100 were Vistry Group PLC (LON:VTYV), which rose 9.40% or 56.20 points to trade at 654.00 at the close. Persimmon PLC (LON:PSN) added 5.95% or 77.50 points to end at 1,380.00 and Barratt Redrow PLC (LON:BTRW) was up 5.62% or 25.30 points to 475.30 in late trade.
Biggest losers included B&M European Value Retail SA (LON:BMEB), which fell 4.08% or 11.30 points to trade at 265.70 in late trade. Standard Chartered PLC (LON:STAN) declined 2.88% or 34.00 points to end at 1,148.00 and Barclays PLC (LON:BARC) down 2.74% or 9.10 points to 323.35.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones by 992 to 791 and 559 ended unchanged on the London Stock Exchange.
Gold Futures for August delivery was down 0.36% or 12.09 to $3,342.81 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July rose 0.75% or 0.49 to hit $65.78 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract rose 0.75% or 0.50 to trade at $67.54 a barrel.
GBP/USD was down 0.38% to 1.35, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.33% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.16% at 99.06.
