Block Deal: NBFC stock jumps 5% after 20 lakh shares worth ₹61 Cr change hands
Investing.com – United Kingdom equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the FTSE 350 Mining, FTSE 350 Tobacco and FTSE 350 Household Goods sectors led shares higher.
At the close in London, the Investing.com United Kingdom 100 rose 0.10% to hit a new all time high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com United Kingdom 100 were Vistry Group PLC (LON:VTYV), which rose 5.96% or 39.00 points to trade at 693.00 at the close. Fresnillo PLC (LON:FRES) added 3.58% or 48.00 points to end at 1,388.00 and Flutter Entertainment PLC (LON:FLTRF) was up 2.70% or 525.00 points to 19,990.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Antofagasta PLC (LON:ANTO), which fell 2.55% or 48.00 points to trade at 1,836.50 in late trade. Anglo American PLC (LON:AAL) declined 2.39% or 52.50 points to end at 2,143.00 and JD Sports Fashion PLC (LON:JD) down 1.98% or 1.62 points to 80.32.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones by 992 to 753 and 587 ended unchanged on the London Stock Exchange.
Shares in Fresnillo PLC (LON:FRES) rose to 5-year highs; gaining 3.58% or 48.00 to 1,388.00.
Gold Futures for August delivery was up 0.27% or 8.90 to $3,352.30 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July rose 2.57% or 1.67 to hit $66.65 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract rose 2.23% or 1.49 to trade at $68.36 a barrel.
GBP/USD was unchanged 0.30% to 1.35, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.17% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.45% at 98.63.
