United Arab Emirates shares mixed at close of trade; DFM General up 0.15%

Investing.com – United Arab Emirates equities were mixed at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Finance & Investment , Transport and Services sectors propelled shares higher while losses in the Real Estate & Construction , Consumer Staples and Insurance sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Dubai, the DFM General added 0.15%, while the ADX General index lost 0.54%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the DFM General were Dubai Financial Market PJSC (DU: DFM ), which rose 5.56% or 0.060 points to trade at 1.140 at the close. Dubai Investments PJSC (DU: DINV ) added 3.38% or 0.070 points to end at 2.140 and Gulf General Investments Company (DU: GGIC ) was up 1.62% or 0.006 points to 0.376 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Takaful Emarat PSC (DU: TKFE ), which lost 2.55% or 0.060 points to trade at 2.290 in late trade. National Central Cooling Co. (DU: TABR ) declined 1.57% or 0.030 points to end at 1.880 and Emaar Properties PJSC (DU: EMAR ) shed 1.41% or 0.100 points to 7.000.
The top performers on the ADX General were Arkan Building Materials Co PJSC (AD: ARKN ) which rose 2.94% to 0.7000, Aldar Properti (AD: ALDR ) which was up 1.80% to settle at 2.260 and Finance House (AD: FH ) which unchanged 0.00% to close at 1.600.
The worst performers were Em Driving Co (AD: DRIV ) which was down 7.22% to 9.00 in late trade, Dana Gas (AD: DANA ) which lost 2.13% to settle at 0.460 and Eshraq Properties Co PJSC (AD: ESHR ) which was down 1.87% to 1.0500 at the close.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 17 to 14 and 6 ended unchanged; on the Abu Dhabi, 16 fell and 2 advanced, while 6 ended unchanged on the Dubai Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was down 0.25% or 0.12 to $47.28 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 0.24% or 0.12 to hit $49.35 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.90% or 11.59 to trade at $1294.29 a troy ounce.
USD/AED was unchanged 0.00% to 3.6730, while EUR/AED fell 0.11% to 4.1295.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.08% at 96.69.
