Turkey shares lower at close of trade; BIST 100 down 0.20%

Investing.com – Turkey equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Basic Metals , Metal Products & Machinery and Food & Beverages sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 lost 0.20%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Adel Kalemcilik (IS: ADEL ), which rose 4.30% or 0.73 points to trade at 17.72 at the close. Ayen Enerji (IS: AYEN ) added 3.90% or 0.140 points to end at 3.730 and Soda Sanayii (IS: SODA ) was up 2.50% or 0.100 points to 4.100 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Ege Endustri (IS: EGEEN ), which lost 5.19% or 11.60 points to trade at 212.00 in late trade. Tofas Oto. Fab. (IS: TOASO ) declined 4.31% or 0.98 points to end at 21.76 and Dogan Holding (IS: DOHOL ) shed 4.21% or 0.040 points to 0.910.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 189 to 149 and 69 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold for December delivery was down 0.38% or 5.05 to $1311.45 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 3.06% or 1.42 to hit $44.93 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 3.22% or 1.57 to trade at $47.16 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.10% to 2.9600, while EUR/TRY fell 0.04% to 3.3011.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.01% at 96.04.
