Investing.com – Turkey equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the BIST Leasing Factoring, BIST Basic Metal and BIST Transportation sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 added 1.11%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Kardemir Karabuk Demir Celik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS Class D (IS:KRDMD), which rose 6.34% or 1.72 points to trade at 28.86 at the close. Tukas Gida Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:TUKAS) added 6.19% or 0.12 points to end at 2.06 and AG Anadolu Group Holding (IS:AGHOL) was up 4.38% or 12.75 points to 303.75 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Margun Enerji Uretim Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:MAGEN), which fell 2.99% or 0.70 points to trade at 22.70 in late trade. Turkiye Halk Bankasi (IS:HALKB) declined 2.18% or 0.42 points to end at 18.85 and Trabzonspor Sportif Yatirim ve Futbol Isletmeciligi Ticaret AS (IS:TSPOR) down 1.87% or 0.02 points to 1.05.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones by 426 to 148 and 14 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
Gold Futures for April delivery was up 1.08% or 31.11 to $2,907.81 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March rose 0.89% or 0.63 to hit $71.24 a barrel, while the April Brent oil contract rose 0.77% or 0.57 to trade at $74.86 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.31% to 35.97, while EUR/TRY rose 0.35% to 37.36.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.05% at 107.60.
