Trump slaps 30% tariffs on EU, Mexico
Investing.com – Turkey equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the BIST Leasing Factoring, BIST Telecommunication and BIST Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 gained 0.81%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Ral Yatirim Holding AS (IS:RALYH), which rose 6.81% or 9.00 points to trade at 141.20 at the close. Enerya Enerji AS (IS:ENERY) added 6.38% or 0.34 points to end at 5.67 and Grainturk Holding AS (IS:GRTHO) was up 5.92% or 15.50 points to 277.50 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Oba Makarnacilik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:OBAMS), which fell 5.39% or 3.90 points to trade at 68.50 in late trade. Emlak Konut Gayrimenkul Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS:EKGYO) declined 3.78% or 0.55 points to end at 13.99 and ENKA Insaat ve Sanayi AS (IS:ENKAI) down 3.02% or 1.95 points to 62.60.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones by 290 to 274 and 27 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
Shares in Ral Yatirim Holding AS (IS:RALYH) rose to all time highs; rising 6.81% or 9.00 to 141.20. Shares in Enerya Enerji AS (IS:ENERY) rose to all time highs; rising 6.38% or 0.34 to 5.67.
Gold Futures for June delivery was down 0.66% or 21.99 to $3,291.51 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July fell 1.23% or 0.76 to hit $60.81 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract fell 1.29% or 0.84 to trade at $64.07 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.27% to 38.92, while EUR/TRY fell 0.06% to 44.05.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.34% at 99.77.
