Sweden shares lower at close of trade; OMX Stockholm 30 down 0.97%

Investing.com – Sweden equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Oil & Gas , Consumer Goods and Healthcare sectors propelled shares lower.

At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 fell 0.97%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken AB A (ST: SEBa ), which rose 0.25% or 0.24 points to trade at 95.96 at the close. Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson Class B (ST: ERICb ) added 0.25% or 0.20 points to end at 80.50 and H & M Hennes & Mauritz AB B (ST: HMb ) was up 0.00% or 0.1 points to 168.3 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Getinge AB ser. B (ST: GETIb ), which lost 3.44% or 3.5 points to trade at 98.9 in late trade. Autoliv Inc . SDB (ST: ALIVsdb ) declined 2.53% or 19.8 points to end at 761.8 and Atlas Copco AB Series B (ST: ATCOb ) shed 2.31% or 5.5 points to 234.8.

Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 446 to 177 and 63 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was down 2.09% or 1.60 to $74.81 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 1.43% or 1.23 to hit $85.06 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.20% or 2.40 to trade at $1205.30 a troy ounce.

EUR/SEK was up 0.21% to 10.4156, while USD/SEK fell 0.05% to 9.0507.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.26% at 95.42.
