Sweden shares lower at close of trade; OMX Stockholm 30 down 0.51%

Investing.com – Sweden equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Consumer Goods , Consumer Services and Industrials sectors propelled shares lower.

At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 fell 0.51%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Telia Company AB (ST: TELIA ), which rose 1.03% or 0.42 points to trade at 41.12 at the close. Swedbank AB ser A (ST: SWEDa ) added 0.49% or 1.0 points to end at 203.9 and Skanska AB ser. B (ST: SKAb ) was up 0.47% or 0.75 points to 160.30 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Autoliv Inc . SDB (ST: ALIVsdb ), which lost 3.32% or 30.4 points to trade at 885.0 in late trade. AB SKF B (ST: SKFb ) declined 2.54% or 4.5 points to end at 172.4 and Atlas Copco AB Class A (ST: ATCOa ) shed 2.29% or 5.8 points to 247.6.

Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 315 to 299 and 62 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was up 1.47% or 1.01 to $69.53 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.90% or 0.66 to hit $74.10 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.22% or 2.70 to trade at $1228.20 a troy ounce.

EUR/SEK was down 0.21% to 10.2825, while USD/SEK fell 0.08% to 8.8094.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.01% at 94.38.
