Investing.com – Sweden equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Stockholm Industrials, Stockholm Health Care PI and Stockholm Basic Materials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 lost 0.36% to hit a new 1-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken AB A (ST:SEBa), which rose 0.77% or 1.15 points to trade at 151.00 at the close. AstraZeneca PLC (ST:AZN) added 0.75% or 10.50 points to end at 1,409.00 and ABB Ltd (ST:ABB) was up 0.69% or 4.20 points to 611.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included NIBE Industrier AB ser. B (ST:NIBEb), which fell 4.02% or 1.90 points to trade at 45.60 in late trade. Electrolux AB Class B (ST:ELUXb) declined 3.70% or 3.10 points to end at 81.30 and Samhallsbyggnadsbolaget i Norden AB (ST:SBBb) down 3.31% or 0.14 points to 4.03.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones by 484 to 291 and 77 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
Shares in Electrolux AB Class B (ST:ELUXb) fell to 5-year lows; losing 3.70% or 3.10 to 81.30.
Crude oil for January delivery was up 0.09% or 0.06 to $69.30 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to hit $73.31 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.99% or 26.15 to trade at $2,657.15 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.47% to 11.62, while USD/SEK rose 1.16% to 11.04.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.58% at 106.76.
