Sweden shares lower at close of trade; OMX Stockholm 30 down 0.29%

Investing.com – Sweden equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Oil & Gas , Consumer Services and Technology sectors propelled shares lower.

At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 lost 0.29%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were AB SKF B (ST: SKFb ), which rose 1.20% or 1.6 points to trade at 134.5 at the close. Alfa Laval AB (ST: ALFA ) added 1.19% or 2.3 points to end at 195.9 and Atlas Copco AB Class A (ST: ATCOa ) was up 1.00% or 2.1 points to 211.8 in late trade.

Biggest losers included H & M Hennes & Mauritz AB B (ST: HMb ), which lost 2.91% or 4.2 points to trade at 138.6 in late trade. Hexagon AB ser. B (ST: HEXAb ) declined 1.33% or 5.5 points to end at 408.2 and Skanska AB ser. B (ST: SKAb ) shed 1.08% or 1.55 points to 141.60.

Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 419 to 223 and 39 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for February delivery was down 5.34% or 2.68 to $47.52 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in February fell 4.11% or 2.45 to hit $57.16 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.07% or 0.85 to trade at $1252.65 a troy ounce.

EUR/SEK was up 0.25% to 10.3060, while USD/SEK rose 0.12% to 9.0694.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.05% at 96.502.
