Sweden shares lower at close of trade; OMX Stockholm 30 down 0.28%

Investing.com – Sweden equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Oil & Gas , Basic Materials and Financials sectors propelled shares lower.

At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 fell 0.28%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson Class B (ST: ERICb ), which rose 6.29% or 4.91 points to trade at 82.91 at the close. Tele2 AB (ST: TEL2b ) added 4.56% or 4.95 points to end at 113.50 and Getinge AB ser. B (ST: GETIb ) was up 2.84% or 2.3 points to 81.8 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Nordea Bank Abp (ST: NDASE ), which lost 2.69% or 2.30 points to trade at 83.15 in late trade. AB SKF B (ST: SKFb ) declined 2.37% or 3.7 points to end at 152.6 and Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken AB A (ST: SEBa ) shed 2.03% or 1.88 points to 90.66.

Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 348 to 285 and 50 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was down 0.67% or 0.47 to $69.28 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 0.54% or 0.43 to hit $79.62 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.44% or 5.40 to trade at $1232.80 a troy ounce.

EUR/SEK was up 0.53% to 10.3628, while USD/SEK rose 0.55% to 9.0163.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.09% at 95.44.
