Sweden shares lower at close of trade; OMX Stockholm 30 down 0.20%

Investing.com – Sweden equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Telecoms , Consumer Goods and Technology sectors propelled shares lower.

At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 fell 0.20%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Nordea Bank Abp (ST: NDASE ), which rose 1.57% or 1.17 points to trade at 75.75 at the close. Hexagon AB ser. B (ST: HEXAb ) added 0.91% or 3.7 points to end at 411.7 and H & M Hennes & Mauritz AB B (ST: HMb ) was up 0.86% or 1.1 points to 127.1 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Securitas AB ser. B (ST: SECUb ), which lost 2.99% or 4.25 points to trade at 138.00 in late trade. Boliden AB (ST: BOL ) declined 2.57% or 4.94 points to end at 187.04 and Tele2 AB (ST: TEL2b ) shed 2.17% or 2.45 points to 110.50.

Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 401 to 237 and 43 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for February delivery was up 3.90% or 1.77 to $47.18 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 3.74% or 2.01 to hit $55.81 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.50% or 6.35 to trade at $1287.65 a troy ounce.

EUR/SEK was up 0.45% to 10.2118, while USD/SEK rose 1.39% to 8.9932.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.66% at 96.363.
