Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Consumer Services, Oil & Gas and Telecoms sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 added 0.78% to hit a new 3-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Hennes & Mauritz AB, H & M ser. B (ST:HMb), which rose 3.69% or 9.7 points to trade at 272.9 at the close. Lundin Petroleum AB (ST:LUPE) added 1.13% or 1.70 points to end at 152.50 and Skanska AB ser. B (ST:SKAb) was up 1.11% or 2.00 points to 182.80 in late trade.
Biggest losers included AstraZeneca PLC (ST:AZN), which lost 0.87% or 5.0 points to trade at 570.0 in late trade. Telefonaktiebolaget L M Ericsson B (ST:ERICb) declined 0.51% or 0.32 points to end at 61.88 and Volvo, AB ser. B (ST:VOLVb) shed 0.37% or 0.33 points to 89.92.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 327 to 256 and 63 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was up 3.64% or 1.52 to $43.23 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 3.72% or 1.64 to hit $45.69 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.11% or 1.55 to trade at $1353.45 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.47% to 9.4181, while USD/SEK fell 0.37% to 8.4350.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.08% at 95.67.
