Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Consumer Services, Technology and Healthcare sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 gained 0.52% to hit a new 3-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Hennes & Mauritz AB, H & M ser. B (ST:HMb), which rose 2.14% or 5.8 points to trade at 277.4 at the close. Telefonaktiebolaget L M Ericsson B (ST:ERICb) added 1.17% or 0.72 points to end at 62.12 and SKF, AB ser. B (ST:SKFb) was up 1.06% or 1.5 points to 143.5 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Securitas AB ser. B (ST:SECUb), which lost 0.60% or 0.90 points to trade at 149.00 in late trade. Telia Company AB (ST:TELIA) declined 0.48% or 0.19 points to end at 39.09 and ASSA ABLOY AB ser. B (ST:ASSAb) shed 0.47% or 0.9 points to 189.1.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 370 to 227 and 49 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was up 2.61% or 1.16 to $45.65 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 2.51% or 1.18 to hit $48.15 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.38% or 5.05 to trade at $1348.25 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.36% to 9.4688, while USD/SEK rose 0.06% to 8.4556.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.22% at 95.47.
