Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Telecoms, Consumer Services and Technology sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 rose 0.24% to hit a new 1-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Getinge AB ser. B (ST:GETIBs), which rose 1.55% or 2.7 points to trade at 176.8 at the close. Nokia Oyj (ST:NOKIA) added 1.21% or 0.57 points to end at 47.56 and AstraZeneca PLC (ST:AZN) was up 1.21% or 6.0 points to 502.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb), which lost 2.98% or 3.50 points to trade at 114.00 in late trade. Atlas Copco AB ser. B (ST:ATCOb) declined 0.66% or 1.3 points to end at 197.0 and Atlas Copco AB ser. A (ST:ATCOa) shed 0.65% or 1.4 points to 213.8.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 276 to 262 and 78 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was up 0.59% or 0.29 to $49.62 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 0.72% or 0.36 to hit $50.31 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.76% or 9.20 to trade at $1207.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.07% to 9.2856, while USD/SEK fell 0.16% to 8.3368.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.01% at 95.72.
