Sweden shares higher at close of trade; OMX Stockholm 30 up 1.00%

Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Consumer Services , Healthcare and Oil & Gas sectors propelled shares higher.

At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 added 1.00% to hit a new 3-month high.

The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were ASSA ABLOY AB ser. B (ST: ASSAb ), which rose 7.03% or 12.1 points to trade at 183.5 at the close. H & M Hennes & Mauritz AB B (ST: HMb ) added 2.94% or 4.2 points to end at 145.7 and Skanska AB ser. B (ST: SKAb ) was up 2.51% or 4.00 points to 163.55 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Alfa Laval AB (ST: ALFA ), which lost 6.33% or 13.2 points to trade at 195.3 in late trade. Hexagon AB ser. B (ST: HEXAb ) declined 1.74% or 7.5 points to end at 424.0 and Electrolux, AB ser. B (ST: ELUXb ) shed 1.55% or 3.7 points to 235.4.

Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 371 to 248 and 64 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for March delivery was down 1.26% or 0.69 to $53.87 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in April fell 0.46% or 0.29 to hit $62.22 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.13% or 1.75 to trade at $1317.55 a troy ounce.

EUR/SEK was down 0.15% to 10.3916, while USD/SEK rose 0.14% to 9.1126.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.29% at 95.850.
