Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Stockholm Financials, Stockholm Basic Materials and Stockholm Telecommunications sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 rose 0.89%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Samhallsbyggnadsbolaget i Norden AB (ST:SBBb), which rose 4.34% or 0.27 points to trade at 6.47 at the close. NIBE Industrier AB ser. B (ST:NIBEb) added 3.57% or 1.60 points to end at 47.20 and Electrolux AB Class B (ST:ELUXb) was up 3.44% or 3.20 points to 95.60 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Evolution Gaming Group AB (ST:EVOG), which fell 5.16% or 55.00 points to trade at 1,011.50 in late trade. SAAB AB ser. B (ST:SAABb) declined 3.67% or 9.20 points to end at 241.40 and H & M Hennes & Mauritz AB B (ST:HMb) down 1.07% or 1.80 points to 167.20.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones by 430 to 329 and 91 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
Crude oil for September delivery was down 0.55% or 0.43 to $78.21 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 0.53% or 0.44 to hit $82.19 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.38% or 9.10 to trade at $2,390.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.52% to 11.68, while USD/SEK rose 0.47% to 10.73.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.01% at 104.10.
