Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Stockholm Industrials, Stockholm Telecommunications and Stockholm Basic Materials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 gained 0.82%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Volvo, AB ser. B (ST:VOLVb), which rose 7.72% or 22.20 points to trade at 309.80 at the close. Sinch AB (ST:SINCH) added 5.92% or 1.32 points to end at 23.63 and Tele2 AB (ST:TEL2b) was up 5.16% or 5.95 points to 121.15 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken AB A (ST:SEBa), which fell 4.19% or 6.90 points to trade at 157.80 in late trade. Getinge AB ser. B (ST:GETIb) declined 1.52% or 3.40 points to end at 220.80 and Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson Class B (ST:ERICb) down 0.75% or 0.64 points to 84.48.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones by 429 to 341 and 62 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
Shares in Tele2 AB (ST:TEL2b) rose to 52-week highs; rising 5.16% or 5.95 to 121.15.
Crude oil for March delivery was down 0.79% or 0.58 to $73.19 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April fell 0.51% or 0.39 to hit $76.10 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.02% or 0.56 to trade at $2,795.16 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.10% to 11.46, while USD/SEK unchanged 0.04% to 10.99.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.08% at 107.77.
