Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Stockholm Oil & Gas, Stockholm Industrials and Stockholm Basic Materials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 gained 0.54%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Boliden AB (ST:BOL), which rose 3.16% or 10.00 points to trade at 326.60 at the close. Atlas Copco AB Class A (ST:ATCOa) added 2.14% or 4.00 points to end at 190.60 and SAAB AB ser. B (ST:SAABb) was up 2.13% or 5.20 points to 247.10 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Samhallsbyggnadsbolaget i Norden AB (ST:SBBb), which fell 5.24% or 0.38 points to trade at 6.79 in late trade. Telia Company AB (ST:TELIA) declined 3.68% or 1.19 points to end at 31.13 and H & M Hennes & Mauritz AB B (ST:HMb) down 0.72% or 1.20 points to 166.30.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones by 388 to 374 and 74 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
Crude oil for September delivery was up 3.56% or 2.66 to $77.39 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 3.05% or 2.38 to hit $80.45 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.67% or 16.55 to trade at $2,468.45 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.36% to 11.59, while USD/SEK fell 0.38% to 10.72.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.35% at 103.95.
