Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Stockholm Oil & Gas, Stockholm Financials and Stockholm Health Care PI sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 rose 0.45%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Getinge AB ser. B (ST:GETIb), which rose 2.06% or 3.50 points to trade at 171.30 at the close. Svenska Handelsbanken AB A (ST:SHBa) added 1.79% or 2.00 points to end at 113.80 and AB SKF B (ST:SKFb) was up 1.61% or 3.30 points to 208.30 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Alfa Laval AB (ST:ALFA), which fell 1.31% or 6.20 points to trade at 465.80 in late trade. Evolution AB (ST:EVOG) declined 1.20% or 11.80 points to end at 975.00 and SAAB AB ser. B (ST:SAABb) down 0.92% or 2.20 points to 236.60.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones by 437 to 311 and 90 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
Crude oil for January delivery was up 0.19% or 0.13 to $68.85 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 0.22% or 0.16 to hit $72.46 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.04% or 1.09 to trade at $2,665.89 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was unchanged 0.04% to 11.53, while USD/SEK rose 0.16% to 10.93.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.11% at 106.16.
