Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Stockholm Financials, Stockholm Telecommunications and Stockholm Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 gained 0.38%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Svenska Handelsbanken AB A (ST:SHBa), which rose 7.96% or 8.25 points to trade at 111.90 at the close. Swedbank AB ser A (ST:SWEDa) added 4.96% or 10.30 points to end at 218.00 and Tele2 AB (ST:TEL2b) was up 1.98% or 2.15 points to 110.75 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Samhallsbyggnadsbolaget i Norden AB (ST:SBBb), which fell 2.99% or 0.18 points to trade at 5.84 in late trade. Boliden AB (ST:BOL) declined 2.32% or 7.90 points to end at 333.10 and ASSA ABLOY AB ser. B (ST:ASSAb) down 1.25% or 4.20 points to 332.60.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones by 454 to 312 and 74 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
Crude oil for December delivery was down 1.70% or 1.22 to $70.52 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 1.67% or 1.27 to hit $74.77 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.97% or 26.70 to trade at $2,733.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.43% to 11.42, while USD/SEK rose 0.63% to 10.60.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.39% at 104.32.
