Sweden shares higher at close of trade; OMX Stockholm 30 up 0.27%

Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Healthcare , Technology and Consumer Services sectors propelled shares higher.

At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 added 0.27%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Atlas Copco AB Class A (ST: ATCOa ), which rose 2.14% or 4.5 points to trade at 216.7 at the close. Atlas Copco AB Series B (ST: ATCOb ) added 1.87% or 3.7 points to end at 200.7 and SSAB AB ser. A (ST: SSABa ) was up 1.35% or 0.43 points to 32.23 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Autoliv Inc . SDB (ST: ALIVsdb ), which lost 2.11% or 16.8 points to trade at 778.6 in late trade. Nordea Bank Abp (ST: NDASE ) declined 1.69% or 1.40 points to end at 81.20 and Tele2 AB (ST: TEL2b ) shed 1.29% or 1.50 points to 114.55.

Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 311 to 303 and 63 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for January delivery was up 0.83% or 0.43 to $51.99 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 0.53% or 0.32 to hit $60.72 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.45% or 5.50 to trade at $1225.40 a troy ounce.

EUR/SEK was down 0.14% to 10.2692, while USD/SEK fell 0.58% to 9.0582.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.30% at 96.985.
