Sweden shares higher at close of trade; OMX Stockholm 30 up 0.12%

Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Telecoms , Technology and Oil & Gas sectors propelled shares higher.

At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 rose 0.12%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Telia Company AB (ST: TELIA ), which rose 1.68% or 0.68 points to trade at 41.24 at the close. Swedish Match AB (ST: SWMA ) added 1.29% or 6.3 points to end at 495.2 and Hexagon AB ser. B (ST: HEXAb ) was up 0.99% or 5.4 points to 548.6 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Alfa Laval AB (ST: ALFA ), which lost 1.18% or 2.9 points to trade at 242.2 in late trade. Nordea Bank AB (ST: NDA ) declined 1.05% or 1.04 points to end at 97.76 and Securitas AB ser. B (ST: SECUb ) shed 0.68% or 1.10 points to 161.60.

Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 313 to 305 and 55 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was up 0.46% or 0.32 to $70.09 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 0.73% or 0.57 to hit $78.21 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.20% or 2.40 to trade at $1206.80 a troy ounce.

EUR/SEK was down 0.42% to 10.5681, while USD/SEK fell 0.53% to 9.0956.

The US Dollar Index Futures was unchanged 0.00% at 95.05.
