Investing.com – Sri Lanka equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Information Technology, Investment Trust and Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Colombo, the CSE All-Share lost 0.04%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the CSE All-Share were PC Pharma PLC (CM:PCPH), which rose 50.00% or 0.1000 points to trade at 0.3000 at the close. PCH Holdings PLC (CM:PCHH) added 25.00% or 0.200 points to end at 1.000 and Adam Investments Ltd (CM:ADAM) was up 14.29% or 0.100 points to 0.800 in late trade.
Biggest losers included EB Creasy and Company PLC (CM:EBCR), which lost 8.24% or 110.50 points to trade at 1230.00 in late trade. Singer Industries PLC (CM:SINI) declined 7.89% or 13.40 points to end at 156.50 and Maskeliya Plantations PLC (CM:MASK) shed 7.38% or 0.90 points to 11.30.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 102 to 89 and 61 ended unchanged on the Colombo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was up 0.99% or 0.50 to $51.17 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 0.95% or 0.51 to hit $54.12 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.21% or 2.62 to trade at $1256.22 a troy ounce.
GBP/LKR was down 0.14% to 198.350, while USD/LKR fell 0.01% to 152.590.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.04% at 96.96.
