Defence stock jumps after receiving order for gun stand assemblies from defence firm
Investing.com – Spain equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Madrid Consumer Services, Madrid Financial Services & Real Estate and Madrid Consumer Goods sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 fell 1.31%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the IBEX 35 were Indra A (BME:IDR), which rose 1.68% or 0.60 points to trade at 36.30 at the close. Naturgy Energy Group SA (BME:NTGY) added 0.30% or 0.08 points to end at 26.50 and Acerinox (BME:ACX) was up 0.29% or 0.03 points to 10.54 in late trade.
Biggest losers included International Consolidated Airlines Group SA (BME:ICAG), which fell 3.57% or 0.14 points to trade at 3.73 in late trade. Grifols SA (BME:GRLS) declined 3.13% or 0.33 points to end at 10.20 and Acciona (BME:ANA) down 2.16% or 3.20 points to 145.20.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones by 156 to 39 and 19 ended unchanged on the Madrid Stock Exchange.
Shares in Naturgy Energy Group SA (BME:NTGY) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 0.30% or 0.08 to 26.50.
Gold Futures for August delivery was up 1.17% or 39.75 to $3,442.15 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July rose 5.57% or 3.79 to hit $71.83 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract rose 5.51% or 3.82 to trade at $73.18 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.25% to 1.16, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.04% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.17% at 98.07.
