Investing.com – Spain equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Madrid Financial Services & Real Estate, Madrid Consumer Goods and Madrid Consumer Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 fell 0.80%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the IBEX 35 were ACS Actividades de Construccion y Servicios SA (BME:ACS), which rose 0.55% or 0.24 points to trade at 44.18 at the close. Redeia Corporacion SA (BME:REDE) added 0.23% or 0.04 points to end at 17.08 and Ferrovial (BME:FER) was up 0.16% or 0.06 points to 38.60 in late trade.
Biggest losers included ArcelorMittal SA (BME:MTS), which fell 3.81% or 0.91 points to trade at 22.99 in late trade. Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria SA (BME:BBVA) declined 3.31% or 0.31 points to end at 8.95 and Banco de Sabadell SA (BME:SABE) down 2.89% or 0.05 points to 1.78.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones by 143 to 51 and 20 ended unchanged on the Madrid Stock Exchange.
Gold Futures for February delivery was up 0.32% or 8.46 to $2,651.06 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January fell 0.25% or 0.17 to hit $68.77 a barrel, while the February Brent oil contract fell 0.21% or 0.15 to trade at $72.33 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.21% to 1.05, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.02% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.23% at 107.02.
