Investing.com – Spain equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Madrid Technology and Telecommunications, Madrid Basic Materials Industry and Construction and Madrid Petrol and Power sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 fell 0.39%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the IBEX 35 were Telefonica (BME:TEF), which rose 0.40% or 0.02 points to trade at 4.03 at the close. Aena SME SA (BME:AENA) added 0.29% or 0.50 points to end at 171.50 and Bankinter (BME:BKT) was up 0.25% or 0.02 points to 7.29 in late trade.
Biggest losers included SOLARIA ENERGIA Y MEDIO AMBIENTE (BME:SLRS), which fell 2.06% or 0.23 points to trade at 10.95 in late trade. Indra A (BME:IDR) declined 2.05% or 0.35 points to end at 16.70 and Cellnex Telecom SA (BME:CLNX) down 1.73% or 0.59 points to 33.46.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones by 150 to 45 and 16 ended unchanged on the Madrid Stock Exchange.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 1.14% or 27.80 to $2,460.20 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 0.84% or 0.63 to hit $75.86 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract rose 0.47% or 0.37 to trade at $78.70 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.09% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.49% to 0.86.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.07% at 103.07.
