Investing.com – Spain equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Madrid Basic Materials Industry and Construction, Madrid Technology and Telecommunications and Madrid Petrol and Power sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 lost 0.23%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the IBEX 35 were Laboratorios Farmaceuticos ROVI (BME:ROVI), which rose 2.68% or 1.95 points to trade at 74.75 at the close. Corporacion Acciona Energias Renovables SA (BME:ANE) added 1.62% or 0.32 points to end at 20.08 and ArcelorMittal SA (BME:MTS) was up 1.27% or 0.28 points to 22.25 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Indra A (BME:IDR), which fell 1.82% or 0.31 points to trade at 16.69 in late trade. Ferrovial (BME:FER) declined 1.16% or 0.44 points to end at 37.34 and Iberdrola (BME:IBE) down 1.00% or 0.14 points to 13.89.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones by 101 to 86 and 23 ended unchanged on the Madrid Stock Exchange.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.01% or 0.15 to $2,748.75 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 1.60% or 1.12 to hit $71.31 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 1.59% or 1.18 to trade at $75.56 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.17% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.17% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.14% at 104.06.
