Investing.com – Spain equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Madrid Financial Services & Real Estate, Madrid Basic Materials Industry and Construction and Madrid Petrol and Power sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 lost 0.13%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the IBEX 35 were International Consolidated Airlines Group SA (BME:ICAG), which rose 6.74% or 0.18 points to trade at 2.80 at the close. Grifols SA (BME:GRLS) added 4.36% or 0.47 points to end at 11.13 and SOLARIA ENERGIA Y MEDIO AMBIENTE (BME:SLRS) was up 3.55% or 0.33 points to 9.64 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Repsol (BME:REP), which fell 2.62% or 0.31 points to trade at 11.51 in late trade. Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria SA (BME:BBVA) declined 2.59% or 0.24 points to end at 9.10 and ArcelorMittal SA (BME:MTS) down 2.52% or 0.62 points to 24.03.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones by 86 to 80 and 25 ended unchanged on the Madrid Stock Exchange.
Shares in International Consolidated Airlines Group SA (BME:ICAG) rose to 3-year highs; up 6.74% or 0.18 to 2.80.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.44% or 12.00 to $2,693.80 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 2.87% or 2.08 to hit $70.28 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract fell 2.51% or 1.90 to trade at $73.73 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 1.02% to 1.07, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.29% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.66% at 105.06.
