Investing.com – Spain equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Madrid Technology and Telecommunications, Madrid Basic Materials Industry and Construction and Madrid Consumer Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 declined 0.07%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the IBEX 35 were ArcelorMittal SA (BME:MTS), which rose 3.18% or 0.73 points to trade at 23.69 at the close. Caixabank SA (BME:CABK) added 1.06% or 0.06 points to end at 5.74 and Acerinox (BME:ACX) was up 1.04% or 0.10 points to 9.76 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Indra A (BME:IDR), which fell 3.75% or 0.71 points to trade at 18.21 in late trade. Mapfre (BME:MAP) declined 2.72% or 0.07 points to end at 2.58 and ACS Actividades de Construccion y Servicios SA (BME:ACS) down 1.84% or 0.95 points to 50.80.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones by 96 to 95 and 28 ended unchanged on the Madrid Stock Exchange.
Gold Futures for February delivery was up 0.56% or 15.39 to $2,780.39 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March fell 0.39% or 0.29 to hit $74.33 a barrel, while the March Brent oil contract fell 0.03% or 0.02 to trade at $78.27 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 1.01% to 1.05, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.18% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.77% at 107.03.
