Tata Group Stock Under Spotlight After Nuvama Warns of 43% Crash
Investing.com – Spain equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Madrid Financial Services & Real Estate, Madrid Consumer Services and Madrid Technology and Telecommunications sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 gained 1.46%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the IBEX 35 were Grifols SA (BME:GRLS), which rose 4.27% or 0.44 points to trade at 10.63 at the close. Banco Santander (BME:SAN) added 3.92% or 0.27 points to end at 7.13 and Telefonica (BME:TEF) was up 3.29% or 0.15 points to 4.74 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Endesa SA (BME:ELE), which fell 1.40% or 0.38 points to trade at 26.84 in late trade. Indra A (BME:IDR) declined 1.16% or 0.42 points to end at 35.88 and Cellnex Telecom SA (BME:CLNX) down 0.46% or 0.15 points to 32.81.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones by 116 to 71 and 22 ended unchanged on the Madrid Stock Exchange.
Shares in Banco Santander (BME:SAN) rose to 5-year highs; gaining 3.92% or 0.27 to 7.13. Shares in Telefonica (BME:TEF) rose to 52-week highs; rising 3.29% or 0.15 to 4.74.
Gold Futures for August delivery was down 0.94% or 32.50 to $3,420.30 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August fell 2.48% or 1.77 to hit $69.52 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract fell 2.49% or 1.85 to trade at $72.38 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.25% to 1.16, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.04% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.26% at 97.49.
