Investing.com – Spain equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Madrid Financial Services & Real Estate, Madrid Basic Materials Industry and Construction and Madrid Petrol and Power sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 rose 1.27%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the IBEX 35 were Naturgy Energy Group SA (BME:NTGY), which rose 3.48% or 0.70 points to trade at 20.82 at the close. ACS Actividades de Construccion y Servicios SA (BME:ACS) added 3.13% or 1.24 points to end at 40.90 and Acciona (BME:ANA) was up 2.94% or 3.30 points to 115.70 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Indra A (BME:IDR), which fell 2.12% or 0.44 points to trade at 20.32 in late trade. Enagas (BME:ENAG) declined 0.62% or 0.09 points to end at 14.46 and Aena SME SA (BME:AENA) up 0.16% or 0.30 points to 188.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones by 150 to 56 and 22 ended unchanged on the Madrid Stock Exchange.
Shares in Aena SME SA (BME:AENA) rose to all time highs; gaining 0.16% or 0.30 to 188.00.
Gold Futures for August delivery was up 0.45% or 10.50 to $2,341.70 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 1.02% or 0.82 to hit $81.55 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract rose 0.89% or 0.75 to trade at $85.08 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.36% to 1.07, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.05% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.25% at 105.18.
