Goldman Sachs is out with its near-term forex outlook
Investing.com – Spain equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Madrid Technology and Telecommunications, Madrid Basic Materials Industry and Construction and Madrid Consumer Goods sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 gained 0.89%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the IBEX 35 were Cellnex Telecom SA (BME:CLNX), which rose 5.31% or 1.68 points to trade at 33.31 at the close. Corporacion Acciona Energias Renovables SA (BME:ANE) added 3.01% or 0.57 points to end at 19.52 and Fluidra (BME:FLUI) was up 2.94% or 0.57 points to 19.99 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Repsol (BME:REP), which fell 1.89% or 0.26 points to trade at 13.73 in late trade. Grifols SA (BME:GRLS) declined 0.94% or 0.10 points to end at 10.02 and Banco Santander (BME:SAN) down 0.78% or 0.04 points to 4.46.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones by 131 to 73 and 11 ended unchanged on the Madrid Stock Exchange.
Gold Futures for August delivery was up 1.85% or 44.05 to $2,423.75 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 0.49% or 0.40 to hit $82.50 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract rose 0.35% or 0.30 to trade at $85.38 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.36% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.15% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.60% at 104.10.
