Investing.com – Spain equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Madrid Technology and Telecommunications, Madrid Basic Materials Industry and Construction and Madrid Consumer Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 gained 0.87%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the IBEX 35 were ArcelorMittal SA (BME:MTS), which rose 3.15% or 0.70 points to trade at 22.94 at the close. Laboratorios Farmaceuticos ROVI (BME:ROVI) added 2.07% or 1.55 points to end at 76.30 and Fluidra (BME:FLUI) was up 1.91% or 0.44 points to 23.52 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Grifols SA (BME:GRLS), which fell 2.39% or 0.25 points to trade at 10.00 in late trade. Repsol (BME:REP) declined 1.34% or 0.16 points to end at 11.81 and Enagas (BME:ENAG) down 0.52% or 0.07 points to 13.52.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones by 119 to 70 and 26 ended unchanged on the Madrid Stock Exchange.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.01% or 0.40 to $2,754.20 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 5.70% or 4.09 to hit $67.69 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract fell 5.62% or 4.25 to trade at $71.38 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.22% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.17% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was unchanged 0.00% at 104.13.
