Investing.com – Spain equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Madrid Consumer Goods, Madrid Petrol and Power and Madrid Financial Services & Real Estate sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 rose 0.58%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the IBEX 35 were Corporacion Acciona Energias Renovables SA (BME:ANE), which rose 2.07% or 0.41 points to trade at 20.26 at the close. Inmobiliaria Colonial SA (BME:COL) added 2.03% or 0.12 points to end at 6.02 and Naturgy Energy Group SA (BME:NTGY) was up 1.55% or 0.36 points to 23.60 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Grifols SA (BME:GRLS), which fell 2.40% or 0.24 points to trade at 9.70 in late trade. Fluidra (BME:FLUI) declined 1.12% or 0.26 points to end at 23.04 and Acerinox (BME:ACX) down 0.76% or 0.07 points to 9.11.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones by 118 to 54 and 38 ended unchanged on the Madrid Stock Exchange.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 1.44% or 38.10 to $2,677.40 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 0.73% or 0.55 to hit $75.30 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 0.64% or 0.51 to trade at $78.89 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.07% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.06% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.11% at 102.66.
