Investing.com – Spain equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Madrid Basic Materials Industry and Construction, Madrid Technology and Telecommunications and Madrid Petrol and Power sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 rose 0.33%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the IBEX 35 were Sacyr SA (BME:SCYR), which rose 1.96% or 0.06 points to trade at 3.12 at the close. Banco de Sabadell SA (BME:SABE) added 1.64% or 0.03 points to end at 1.86 and Ferrovial (BME:FER) was up 1.20% or 0.48 points to 40.54 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Fluidra (BME:FLUI), which fell 0.92% or 0.22 points to trade at 23.72 in late trade. SOLARIA ENERGIA Y MEDIO AMBIENTE (BME:SLRS) declined 0.37% or 0.03 points to end at 8.01 and Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria SA (BME:BBVA) down 0.32% or 0.03 points to 9.27.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones by 0 to 0 on the Madrid Stock Exchange.
Shares in SOLARIA ENERGIA Y MEDIO AMBIENTE (BME:SLRS) fell to 3-year lows; down 0.37% or 0.03 to 8.01.
Gold Futures for February delivery was up 0.49% or 12.81 to $2,648.31 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in February fell 0.19% or 0.13 to hit $69.97 a barrel, while the March Brent oil contract fell 0.12% or 0.09 to trade at $73.08 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.14% to 1.04, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.43% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.12% at 107.89.
