Investing.com – Spain equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Madrid Financial Services & Real Estate, Madrid Consumer Services and Madrid Technology and Telecommunications sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 added 0.33%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the IBEX 35 were Bankinter (BME:BKT), which rose 2.47% or 0.19 points to trade at 7.89 at the close. Repsol (BME:REP) added 2.23% or 0.26 points to end at 11.94 and Telefonica (BME:TEF) was up 1.83% or 0.08 points to 4.29 in late trade.
Biggest losers included SOLARIA ENERGIA Y MEDIO AMBIENTE (BME:SLRS), which fell 2.65% or 0.27 points to trade at 9.91 in late trade. Grifols SA (BME:GRLS) declined 2.07% or 0.23 points to end at 10.90 and Puig Brands SA (BME:PUIGb) down 1.15% or 0.22 points to 18.89.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones by 98 to 95 and 22 ended unchanged on the Madrid Stock Exchange.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 1.68% or 43.05 to $2,613.15 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 2.85% or 1.91 to hit $68.83 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract rose 2.76% or 1.96 to trade at $73.00 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.44% to 1.06, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.25% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.35% at 106.24.
