Investing.com – Spain equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Madrid Consumer Services, Madrid Consumer Goods and Madrid Financial Services & Real Estate sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 rose 0.32%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the IBEX 35 were Grifols SA (BME:GRLS), which rose 3.83% or 0.36 points to trade at 9.71 at the close. Unicaja Banco SA (BME:UNI) added 2.61% or 0.03 points to end at 1.34 and Laboratorios Farmaceuticos ROVI (BME:ROVI) was up 1.69% or 1.05 points to 63.10 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Cellnex Telecom SA (BME:CLNX), which fell 2.04% or 0.66 points to trade at 31.66 in late trade. Acciona (BME:ANA) declined 2.03% or 2.30 points to end at 111.00 and SOLARIA ENERGIA Y MEDIO AMBIENTE (BME:SLRS) down 1.94% or 0.17 points to 8.35.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones by 112 to 88 and 16 ended unchanged on the Madrid Stock Exchange.
Shares in SOLARIA ENERGIA Y MEDIO AMBIENTE (BME:SLRS) fell to 3-year lows; losing 1.94% or 0.17 to 8.35.
Gold Futures for February delivery was down 0.21% or 5.69 to $2,670.11 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January fell 1.63% or 1.16 to hit $70.13 a barrel, while the February Brent oil contract fell 1.02% or 0.76 to trade at $73.73 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.09% to 1.05, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.47% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.14% at 106.53.
