Investing.com – Spain equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Madrid Financial Services & Real Estate, Madrid Consumer Services and Madrid Technology and Telecommunications sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 added 0.28%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the IBEX 35 were Caixabank SA (BME:CABK), which rose 2.51% or 0.13 points to trade at 5.30 at the close. Banco de Sabadell SA (BME:SABE) added 2.39% or 0.04 points to end at 1.84 and Fluidra (BME:FLUI) was up 2.36% or 0.54 points to 23.38 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Ferrovial (BME:FER), which fell 4.45% or 1.70 points to trade at 36.54 in late trade. SOLARIA ENERGIA Y MEDIO AMBIENTE (BME:SLRS) declined 1.94% or 0.24 points to end at 12.16 and Corporacion Acciona Energias Renovables SA (BME:ANE) down 1.27% or 0.26 points to 20.26.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones by 121 to 64 and 28 ended unchanged on the Madrid Stock Exchange.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.29% or 7.70 to $2,671.50 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 1.59% or 1.17 to hit $74.88 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 1.38% or 1.07 to trade at $78.69 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.67% to 1.10, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.51% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.62% at 102.38.
