Investing.com – Spain equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Madrid Financial Services & Real Estate, Madrid Basic Materials Industry and Construction and Madrid Technology and Telecommunications sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 rose 0.07%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the IBEX 35 were Corporacion Acciona Energias Renovables SA (BME:ANE), which rose 2.76% or 0.56 points to trade at 20.82 at the close. Caixabank SA (BME:CABK) added 2.40% or 0.13 points to end at 5.54 and Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria SA (BME:BBVA) was up 2.11% or 0.19 points to 9.29 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Industria de Diseno Textil SA (BME:ITX), which fell 1.61% or 0.88 points to trade at 53.70 in late trade. Telefonica (BME:TEF) declined 1.45% or 0.07 points to end at 4.43 and Iberdrola (BME:IBE) down 0.68% or 0.10 points to 13.98.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones by 100 to 83 and 30 ended unchanged on the Madrid Stock Exchange.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.94% or 25.45 to $2,732.95 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 1.78% or 1.26 to hit $69.41 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 1.71% or 1.27 to trade at $73.18 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.24% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.13% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.26% at 103.39.
