’Fasten your seatbelts’— BTIG strategists warn of coming turbulence
Investing.com – Saudi Arabia equities were lower at the close on Sunday, as losses in the Media, Real Estate Management and Development and Transportation sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share fell 0.34% to hit a new 52-week low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Alistithmar AREIC Diversified REIT Unit (TADAWUL:4350), which rose 10.00% or 0.75 points to trade at 8.25 at the close. Al Sagr Co-operative Insurance Co (TADAWUL:8180) added 9.96% or 1.12 points to end at 12.36 and Knowledge Economic City (TADAWUL:4310) was up 5.36% or 0.66 points to 12.98 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Retal Urban Development Company SJSC (TADAWUL:4322), which fell 5.10% or 0.70 points to trade at 13.02 in late trade. Saudi Chemical Company (TADAWUL:2230) declined 3.85% or 0.25 points to end at 6.24 and Saudi Research and Marketing Group (TADAWUL:4210) down 3.55% or 6.00 points to 163.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones by 167 to 141 and 32 ended unchanged on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange.
Shares in Saudi Chemical Company (TADAWUL:2230) fell to 52-week lows; losing 3.85% or 0.25 to 6.24.
Crude oil for August delivery was down 0.28% or 0.21 to $74.93 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 2.33% or 1.84 to hit $75.48 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.66% or 22.40 to trade at $3,385.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was up 0.24% to 4.32, while USD/SAR unchanged 0.00% to 3.75.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.19% at 98.28.
